The Mission of Central Coast Ocean Adventures is:

TO PROVIDE EXPERIENTIAL TEACHING OF NAUTICAL SKILLS, TEAMWORK, LEADERSHIP, AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY ON THE CENTRAL COAST AND  CHANNEL ISLANDS.

CCOA offers educational youth programs aboard the schooner Mystic Whaler. With a focus on maritime history, marine science, and physics, experiences on the Mystic Whaler are perfect for school field trips. Students will develop essential skills such as leadership, team building, self-esteem, and confidence, and learning how to crew a ship! Servicing students throughout the Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, these educational programs will include historical overnight field trips, day sails, and longer multiple-day trips to the Channel Islands.
